Pre-Expedition Services

  • Airport transfers in Islamabad and Skardu

  • Hotel accommodations in Islamabad (3 nights), Chilas (2 night)

  • All domestic flights (Islamabad-Skardu) and ground transport to Islamabad

  • LOI and necessary documents required to apply for Trekking/Mountaineering visa in Pakistan

  • Nanga Parbat climbing permit and all government fees

  • Liaison officer fees and expenses

  • Pre-expedition support, briefings and gear checks

 

During the Expedition

  • Professional expedition leader and climbing guides

  • 1:1 ratio experienced Pakistani HAP support

  • Three a day meals during trekking and at base camp including while climbing and unlimited hot drinks with snacks available

Arrival in Islamabad

  • Arrival: Today is day 1 of the expedition. We will start with a group meeting at 5pm and then enjoy a group dinner together before our briefing at the Ministry of Tourism tomorrow.

  • Activities: Rest and adjust to the time zone. If time allows, explore Islamabad before our group meeting & dinner. 

  • Overnight: Hotel in Islamabad.

Briefing at Ministry of Tourism Islamabad

  • Arrival: Today we will do final preparations before leaving the city for the next 40 days and have our formal briefing at the Ministry of Tourism. 

  • Activities: Rest and adjust to the time zone. Briefing at Ministry of Tourism.

  • Overnight: Hotel in Islamabad.

Islamabad to Skardu (By flight), drive to Chilas

  • Morning: Early morning flight from Islamabad to Skardu (weather permitting). Upon arrival in Skardu, drive to Chilas. 

  • Activities: Take one of the most scenic flights in the world to Skardu getting the chance to see Nanga Parbat from the air before we drive to our hotel in Chilas. 

  • Overnight: Hotel in Chilas.

Drive to Halala Bridge and trek to Kachal

  • Today we will formally depart Chilas to start our trek to base camp. We will drive to Halala Bridge and then make the trek to Kachal for the night. 

  • Overnight: Camp at Kachal

Kachal to Nanga Parbat Base Camp

  • Begin early in the morning to beat the heat as we make our way to Nanga Parbat Base Camp, our home for the next several weeks. 

6 - 35

Climbing Days

  • Days 6-35 are reserved for doing rotations and proper acclimatization with room for a proper weather window and summit push.

Trek from Nanga Parbat Base Camp to Kachal

  • Today we will make our way down from base camp to where we started in Kachal for the night before descending to the Karakoram Highway tomorrow.

  • Overnight: Camp in Kachal

Trek from Kachal to Bunar Das 

  • In the morning we will make our way from Kachal to the KKH where we will stay in Chilas for the night before an early morning departure to Islamabad via road. 

  • Overnight: Hotel in Chilas

Chilas to Islamabad

  • Morning: Depart via road from Chilas to Islamabad

  • Arrival: Check into group hotel in Islamabad.

  • Activities: Rest and recuperate after the expedition. Take time to savor the experience, explore more or perhaps enjoy a coffee at one of Islamabad's nice cafes. We'll have our final group dinner tonight celebrating all that we have just accomplished.

  • Overnight: Hotel in Islamabad.

Departure from Islamabad

  • Activities: There are no activities planned for the day. Checkout before noon from the hotel. 

  • Departure: Transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your departure.
